From time to time organisations invite students to apply for awards and prizes related to sustainable development in the fields of engineering, architecture and the built environment. We will try to bring these to your attention. If at any time you become aware of a competition and you would like us to facillitate your participation, let us know.

This is a two-stage competition. The first stage is open within the University.
The winner then goes through to the national competition judged by a group appointed by the Royal Academy.
Details of the 2008 competition will be published soon.
This award was created to commemorate the life of Krystyna Johnson, a founding member of the Scottish Ecological Design Association (SEDA), who died in January 2003.
The student travel grant of up to £1500 is intended to further the study and development of ecological design, and is open to matriculated students on relevant courses in Scottish Higher and Further Education Establishments. The 2008 award will be launched in February 2008. Previous winners include :-
